Launch of Health Promotion Service for Older People evaluation report

The Hon Andrew Constance MP, Minister for Ageing and Disability Services will be launching the report on the Health Promotion Service for Older People (HPSOP) on Wednesday 20 March.

Pino Migliorino, Managing Director of the Cultural and Indigenous Research Centre Australia (CIRCA), who conducted the programme evaluation and CPSA Policy Coordinator Paul Versteege will be available for interview about the success of peer education in healthy ageing.

Bilingual spokespeople representing various communities will also be available for interview.

CPSA conducted a review of HPSOP, particularly examining the value and success of a peer education model in healthy ageing. Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) participants represent the majority of service users within this programme and the delivery has been shown to successfully meet the needs of CALD older people and organisations. The outcomes and recommendations of the review will be launched at the event.
