Intergenerational Report proves 2014 Budget should be tossed out

“The Government’s proposed changes to pensions will slash spending to only 2.7% of GDP by 2054/55 from the current 2.9% of GDP. Pensions will drop by $80 per week in just ten years and those living on just the pension will once again fall below the poverty line” said CPSA Manager, Research and Advocacy, Amelia Christie.

Pensioners react to McClure Report

“While there are some positive recommendations in the McClure Report red flags are raised about whether this document will be used to justify harsh changes to the welfare system that will hit the most vulnerable,” said CPSA Manager, Research and Advocacy, Amelia Christie.
