Homelessness among older people

INCREASING numbers of older Australians are becoming homeless. One in seven homeless people are over 55 years old. That’s seventeen percent of all homeless people and the numbers are climbing, particularly among older women.

Compulsory apartment acquisitions start 30 November

AS foreshadowed in THE VOICE, the Strata Schemes (Development) Act 2015 will commence on 30 November 2016. The Strata Schemes Development Act 2015 contains the controversial provision that only 75 per cent of owners in a strata scheme need to agree to sell for the sale to go ahead, overriding the views and interests of up to 25 per cent of owners.
