Great loss of OPTS and PAVS
IT WAS distressing to read in your last issue that the O’Farrell Government will cease to fund the Older Persons Tenants’ Service (OPTS) and the Park and Village Service (PAVS). They will both be a great loss to many people in NSW.
NSW WILL lose the Older Persons Tenants’ Service (OPTS) and the Park and Village Service (PAVS) from 30 November 2013 as the NSW Government will no longer fund these services.
CPSA HAS become increasingly aware (and concerned) about the amount of misinformation about the bedroom tax that came into effect in September 2013.
IN ANOTHER case of policy that looks good on paper, but could turn ugly when put into practice, the NSW Government will tax public housing tenants with two or more spare bedrooms from September.
