Today CPSA has written to Transport for NSW to resign from the NSW Older Driver Taskforce.
IPART has released today the price increases for NSW rural and regional bus fares. From 1 January 2013, fares will go up by an average of 3.3 per cent.
Ageing CountryLink trains are now past their use-by date, built to last for 25 years yet many have been running for over 30 years.
"It’s ironic that WA is abolishing part of this economically booming state’s Older Driver Testing regime on the grounds that it is too expensive, while budget-deficit stricken NSW continues with its draconian and expensive testing regime,” said CPSA Policy Coordinator Paul Versteege.
“If Barry O’Farrell promises to resign if an elected Coalition Government fails to keep its election promises, pensioners ask: will the Coalition keep its promise to abolish the older driver test?”, said CPSA Policy Coordinator Charmaine Crowe.
